Konrad Thur ist mit 97 Jahren der älteste noch aktive Artist der Welt. Der Film beginnt an der Ostsee. Konrad steht vor einem aufgebahrten alten Seegelboot. Auf die Frage, ob er noch einmal in die Welt segeln würde, antwortet er: "Heute ist doch die Welt ja so unsicher geworden. Es gibt ja mehr Piraten, als es früher gegeben hat ... ja, das würde ich noch einmal machen."
Der Film zeigt Konrad Thur und seine Frau in Ihrem Haus in Dänemärk, begleitet ihn bei seiner Arbeit, mit seiner Familie und auf Reisen. Der Film zeigt sehr persönliche Szenen und Momente aus seinem Leben. Montagen alter Filmaufnahmen von Konrad aus Amerika, Asien, immer wieder Afrika, geben dem Film eine zweite Haut. Am Ende des Films wieder der Hafen, nur dort kann eine neue Reise beginnen.

The film opens on the Baltic coast. Konrad stands in front of a dry-docked sailboat. In response to the question of whether he would still sail around the world, he replies, "Today the wold is so unsafe- there are more pirates than before, but I would still do it!"
